When it comes to home security, Australia is an immature market with most people seeing a security system as an unnecessary luxury purchase because they ‘have insurance for that’. In order to shift this perception, we needed to show how a Monitored Security System could protect them (and their family) while they were at home - not just protect their property they were away.
It was important not to be seen as fear mongering, so we needed to be anchored in fact. We did our research and found that 26% of burglaries happen while the occupants were at home (usually asleep, but not always!).
The client has asked we not publish the actual figures but can confirm the campaign has been a huge success, with leads dramatically increasing year on year and a significantly higher conversion rate as well. In their words “double the leads, twice the conversion”.
